I really thought Kentucky would win this one. They have the big guys to bang with Florida down low, but the Gator big men are just abusing them on the boards down the stretch. That is one tough group now that the spineless officials have let it slip back to rugby.
Look at all the scores in the 50s and low 60s this week. We need higher offensive output this year, yes? Mission accomplished assholes.

Wasn't I just reading about how WSU is starting to look like Arizona before they lost to Cal? I'll grant that WSU wasn't hitting on all cylinders against Loyola or SIU, but if that description is true of the Shocks, how the hell is Syracuse looking at this point? You can bet that if WSU had just completed back to back one point wins, one at home, in which they came from behind in the last ten seconds, stoneheads like Seth Davis would be saying that in retrospect maybe he had the Shocks a little too high at #5.
Actually, this is probably good for WSU in a couple of ways. For one, it highlights that they have no room to coast or lose focus against anyone at this point. And for another, it may shift some of the media frenzy back toward Syracuse and their new tightrope act, thus lessening the potential distractions for the Shocks, which is just what the doctor ordered.

Syracuse sneaks by a horrible NC State = Syracuse is tough and has grit. A win is a win.
Look, I'm no SU apologists but let's keep it real here. We've had some squeakers and poor performances against some crappy MVC teams. At least SU can say their nail biters have all come against ranked and/or teams with winning records.

The Arizona game was sooooo ugly I keep forgetting Arizona State actually pulled it off. For an Arizona loss, I really should have been able to enjoy it a little more.
That said, after Syracuse survives another one today, Alabama and Tennessee lose close ones, and now Florida pulls it out against Kentucky, I'm really, really praying WSU can just go out and pound Evansville tomorrow. I can't take the stress of a close game and the accompanying thoughts of what another loss to Evansville would feel like.
