If we lose to EU, then I expect us to drop to 8 or 9 in the polls. The media is foaming at the mouth for us to lose so they can say, we told you so. The sad thing is, they would be right. Every team that has been ranked in the top 5 at one time or another have all lost to top 50 RPI teams. If we lose to second to last place EU who has a 231 RPI, then we don't deserve a one seed or respect by the poll voters to think we'd only drop down a few spots. Don't give me how tough it is to win in the Valley argument, if we're so damn good, then teams like EU or the rest of our valley schedule shouldn't pose any problem for us. Go Shox!

I'm saying this just because it would make me the angriest. And because of that, it's also most likely to occur.

I'm not all that crazy about playing in the Midwest Regional anyway (even though Indy is a 3 hour drive from Chicago). I don't want to have to play Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games in a football stadium...the Final 4 and Championship in a football stadium is enough for me. I would prefer the East Regional at MSG, but will take the Honda Arena (or whatever it's called) in Anaheim/LA. LA was good to us last year! Midwest is the only regional in a football stadium...all others are at traditional arena.

Then you have Florida v. Kentucky. It's going to be hard for me to root for UK... Florida isn't really an existential threat to us, anyway. Not much chance we'll meet them unless it's in the Final Four.

Why would you think you have no chance to play Florida until the Final 4 ? It could easily be Florida/Wichita State or Wichita State/Florida as 1/2 seeds in any region.

We still have 4 weeks until Selection Sunday a lot can happen and either of you could end up a 1 or a 2 seed and the same region.

I like the idea of getting the call right. I don't like giving a free timeout. They need an official who is watching the monitors and can just quickly say "Off UCONN" or whatever and the teams shouldn't get to go to the bench.
