St. Louis v. VCU is huge. Top two teams in the A-10, and both at-large locks. St. Louis win gives them a 3-game lead in a potential 5-bid league. That win looks better every day.

Davidson leads the Southern League... We could actually face them again in a 1 v. 16 matchup.

SU will roll NC State. NCSU has won 5 of 6, but all against dregs. They can't hang.

William and Mary v. Townsen is for 2nd place in the CAA. Doubt anyone will beat Delaware this year in that conference, though.

Tennessee v. Missouri is almost like an elimination game. Very interesting - Go Vols...

BYU could pass St. Mary's for 2nd place in the WCC with a win.

Then you have Florida v. Kentucky. It's going to be hard for me to root for UK... Florida isn't really an existential threat to us, anyway. Not much chance we'll meet them unless it's in the Final Four.

If I hear one more pundit that has voted Arizona in the Top 5 say they aren't sure WSU "looks like" a Top 5 team I may finally lose it.

I know that Arizona plays good defense. But anyone that watched that game and didn't come away convinced that both of those teams are COMPLETELY offensively INEPT doesn't know crap about basketball. In 50 minutes of basketball, each team only had 5 players score. No lie, I would've been a help to either team in this game....and I'm terrible. I can slop in 1 out of every 6 shots and foul Gordon/Carson 5 times. That's like a +2 for my team and 17 minutes.

I'm also out of patience for talking heads that wonder if WSU's depth is a problem compared to the rest of the Top 5. Arizona is down a man. I get that, it sucks, and it's tough luck. But they had 5 players play between 45-47 minutes!!! That is RIDICULOUS. Big, bad, BCS Arizona and all their amazing coaching and amenities can't attract more than 6 D1 basketball players?

I'm not sure what's more impressive: Out rebounding a team by 19? Or out rebounding a team by 19 and still LOSING?

I should probably just stop looking at this box score.

Combining my previous points, if Sean Miller is ahead of Marshall on anyone's NCOY list, I'll never take anything they say seriously again.

If Florida wins today at Kentucy and WSU wins at EVillem come monday the top 5 will match in each poll....

4. Nova ( They will win at Crei, call ur bookie)

.......and I dont have a problem with that. WSU has not been playing great for couple weeks and a win on the road at UK would justify a jump by Fla. The Valley is killing WSU but there is nothing they can do about it except win every game.

AZ is just one team and losing a starter to injury has hurt them but they did look good early when I watched them beat Mich on the road. I think comparing WSU's depth to other top 10-12 teams is justified. In last years MVC champ game, WSU's first 3 off the bench were Early, Baker, and Van Vleet. Tuesday v SIU when Baker and VV went out early in the 1h with fouls WSU struggled, if that happens in the NCAA against a better team...not good.

Watched the replay of UA-ASU. They should have chalked it up as a loss for both teams after that first 40 minutes.

I know this was a jab at him. But surprising to me he moved Arizona below the SHOX and moved us up 1 spot to #4. I don't get Villanova being at #3, but at least he actually caught up with most of the country finally lol

But Villanova beat KU. I think that's the only win, possibly the OT win over Iowa, that keeps Nova's name bouncing around. Never mind that it was a very young KU team who was still figuring out how to play cohesively against other talent pre-December, but they beat them. And then the next night KU almost lost to UTEP.
