I don't think Villanova or Texas were ranked yet when they beat KU. I'm pretty sure the wins over KU are what got them ranked originally. Maybe I'm wrong. It's just kind of funny.

I'm definitely getting a kick out of the carousel of how KU beats Kstate bad, Texas beats KU bad, Kstate beats Texas bad, Kstate beats KU in the return game. These three teams are so inconsistent that they have something like 20 losses combined this year.

Meanwhile we are criticized for beating everyone we play by about 10-15 points... Consistently.

The way they spin this is "See our conference is so good that any team can lose on any night". Oh thats right every conference says the same thing. And unless these teams play an ooc that is worth a damn they will never know how they stack up against other good teams from a different conference.

IMO the Big 12 is over rated; so many big swings in games played convince me that the teams are simply good but not great. I have the same opinion of the Big 10.

A great year to be a quality "mid-major" basketball team; IMO the Big Dance is going to a wide open affair with many of the "mid-major wall flowers" advancing beyond the BCS majors and blue bloods.
