I'm torn because of the whole keeping KU at bay argument, but I think I want USU to win it. They have that loss to BYU so the stronger they are, the more it keeps BYU up there

Boy, SDSU had the ball and 1 point lead, dribbled it out of bounds, USU ball under a minute. Call reversed (probably the right call but it was really close). Xavier Thames drills a 26 foot 3 to ice the game. Looks like to me KU is about as good as SDSU....maybe better since they at least took them to OT.

I think it's more important to look at it from a seeding perspective than a ranking perspective. We want all the teams to rack up losses. It makes it more likely for us to possibly grab a 1 seed, and less likely for us to fall down to the 3-5 lines with a loss or two.

Mostly though, it's really fun to be talking about whether we want to root for #7 to win because it might help the Shox move up to #3 in the polls.

I only watched the last few mins of the game and OT.

Did anyone else notice Thames has issues going right? To the left he was unstoppable, but he had to work to open up the left as he didn't ever seem to go right.

Was that just me? If not, why hasn't anyone else picked up on it.

I was just looking at some random team profiles tonight and I came across Stephen F. Austin. They made a bit of noise last year because they were 27-3 but had a horrible RPI and they're doing the exact same thing again this year. At what point do you actually give your team a chance to prove themselves? Right now they have 2 losses with no more projected losses on the schedule. If they finish the season 25-2 they will have an RPI of 72. Obviously their record is ridiculously inflated but how do you know how good your team really is when you put together that terrible of a schedule....at least give the kids a chance.

The problem with SFA is that even their players wonder if they belong. On the other hand, the great thing for our Shockers is that after our run to the Final 4 last year, our players know that they belong.
