The fact remains that it was a remarkable display of 3-point shooting (and a pretty bad display of 3-point defense) and I am giving credit where credit is due. That was not a beatdown, it was an ass whooping. Good for CU. Just don't let it happen again. And for those that don't think Creighton belongs in the Big East, just look at that league's standings and see who is on top.
    You're a strange one.

            • And now Texas will get ranked after beating KSU.

The pre conference rankings earned by the big 12 will continue to erode.

The line between great and garbage continues to blur.

                • It just kills me to see some calling teams in the #25-30 range "garbage". It wasn't that long ago we were hoping to be in the "others receiving votes" category.

No, they hit 9 three's in a row, and that set the tempo of the game, it added a rhythm to Creighton's game.
Kinda reminds me of Missouri State against us several days ago. NO WAY does MSU repeat that shooting night against ANYBODY this year. And if they hadn't done that, NO WAY are they ahead of us by 18 at halftime.

                      Fine. Garbage is strong.

The big 12 is solid upper middle quality.

They will get 6 teams in. 3 will win games. 1 will get past the first weekend. 1 or 2 will completely pork it against a double digit seed and no one will remember that right now, everyone thinks it is the toughest conference in the country.

                      All because of why, exactly?

                      KU then the rest.

By the same token, after the first weekend you are down to 16 teams. Other than KU, only two other teams are ranked in the top 16, with ISU right at 16. Based on rankings, I see it as completely reasonable that the big 12 would only have one team besides Kansas get that far.

But the depth of that conference is pretty brutal. Not a whole lot of top teams, but outside of TCU, every one of those teams is a threat to knock off the others.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

                        • I've got the Butler - Providence game on. I can see why there aren't a lot of people watching FS1. The way they are playing just isn't terribly entertaining.

I'm getting the feeling Brad Stevens may have known when the time was right to get out of Dodge.

I'm just trying to wrap my head around when a conference gets to say all of their losses are due to such great depth as opposed just being a group of mediocre teams that aren't really as good as everyone thinks.

The big 12 gets to say they are deep, yet no one other than KU has beaten a team higher than a 6 seed in the last 4 tournaments. And none of them can beat KU. Ever.

Yet WSU takes a loss and we will be crucified. It wont be spun as a gauntlet that we have to run. We will be overrated.

I know. I know. Its always been the case, but Im just sick of buying into it this year.

Remove KU - The Big 12 has 17 (Average of 1.9 per team)
Remove WSU - The MVC has 5 (Average of 0.6 per team)

                                Just for fun...
Remove Syracuse - The ACC has 26, an average of 1.9 per team as well

If the Big 12 hasn't proven that it has a lot of quality depth this year, than I am curious which leagues you think have.
