As I recall, Marquette was the only Formerly Big East team in the top 25 in pre-seson rankings. 'Nova has proved they belong, but...

...I think we have a pretty fair idea how we would match up against CU in Omaha. CU is making Marquette look like a SWAC team. It's hard to say the FBE is overrated. They did pretty well in their non-con games, but I've got to think thatWSU could win that league.

CU's performance in that league will give us a pretty good gauge - I think we'd go 2-1 against CU this year, and they'd have to be hitting on suburban HORSE to get the 1 they'd get.

I came across the UCONN-Houston game on ESPN and there are about 20 people in the stands. I always thought they had a decent program/following but this crowd for a Top 25 opponent on ESPN definitely shows otherwise.

It must've sucked the energy out of them because they were down by around 20 at halftime and ended up losing 75-71. UCONN is taking quite a tumble.

Marquette is BAD. If you can't score 50 points against defenseless bjays you're a borderline D1 team. And for everyone that thinks WSU is thin, you haven't seen that team up north play. Thin's their middle name. With comments like that I will not get invited to Christmas dinner.

I was watching a bit of the Creighton game against Chicago State (the game before Marquette). By the middle of the 2nd half, they had 49 points and had hit 14 threes. That's only 7 points that are NOT from 3-pointers. My god.
