  • So in the CBE we got our biggest non-MVC RPI drag of the season (Tennessee State) and we didn't even get to play the team who will likely end up with the best RPI (Texas.) That tournament worked out great for us.

It is interesting that INS has only played 4 home games. They have played 6 road games and 2 neutral court games.

      • Louisville down 10 to UK with 4 minutes left. I wonder how long that National Championship can carry their ranking, they've lost to both the decent teams on their schedule (assuming this game holds up.) Their best win is Southern Miss (outside the Top 50.) Their next best win is Missouri State.

UNI has done similar. 2 home, 4 road, 4 neutral.

The downside to playing in a conference with the financial security of Enron's pension plan.

Note how terrible the rest of the league's buy games are, too. They cannot afford to get an ORU level squad to travel for a check. This has been a largely unmentioned contributor to the putrid SoS in recent years for MVC schools.

Creighton was the only other healthy athletic department from a budget standpoint. We are now Warren Buffet sitting at a table of welfare recipients.

UNI has played 3 home games, 4 neutral and 4 road games. I think the lack of home games (where ISUb and UNI are undefeated) has artificially decreased their perceived value.

              • UK beats Louisville 73-66. Shockers look poised to be #8 or #9 in the AP on Monday if we take care of business against Davidson.

They played D-2 Truman State at home. I have that in my total although it has no RPI impact. The other 3 home games were Ball State, IUPUI and Belmont.

Their 6 road games have been:

                  Belmont - Nashville, TN
Notre Dame - South Bend, IN
                  Alaska-Anchorage - Anchorage, AK (Also a D-2 game I believe)
                  Eastern Illinois - Charleston, IL
                  UMKC - Kansas City, MO
St. Louis - St. Louis, MO

                  Neutral Court Games:
                  Tulsa - Anchorage, AK
                  Pepperdine - Anchorage, AK

                  • KSU actually looked pretty good today against an admittedly poor Tulane team. They've come along way since the first game and are actually somewhat of an enjoyable team to watch now. They have a freshman point guard who debuted today who will help them going into the conference. I think they can contend for the upper half of the Big XII, which seemed quite out of reach a month ago. Would like to see them take it to KU.

                    • Alabama getting blown up early at UCLA. 20 - 9 with 11:07 left in the first half.

Bradley snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. After leading 54-49 with 4:39 to play, they lost to South Florida 61 - 57.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

UNI wins at home against Iona 90-78.
