That would be a far bigger surprise than his graduating on schedule and leaving after his junior season to play in the NBA if he's a first rounder. Baker and WSU appear to be an absolute hand in glove fit.

Certainly not saying Baker is ready for the NBA but look at any NBA draft pick in the last few years, I will be shocked if 9 pts was their lowest output at any point in the season.

      • Andrew Wiggins had 6 points against UTEP.
Joel Embiid had 2 points against Duke.
Mitch McGary has scored 6 points three times this season.
Gregg McDermott scored 7 points against GW.
        Etc.........

Calm down, people. Baker is still the man.

        • I believe Ron also scored 3 earlier this year, not that low points on the season is how NBA scouts judge talent, just saying.

          • I wondered if Baker had a concussion when his head hit the floor. Then afterwards he threw up a unadvised 40-footer.

And was about 2 inches short, dead-on!

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:

                    • I think we better at least wait and see if he can keep it up for a full season and at least make all conference. I mean, realistically he's not going to be a first round NBA pick and be offered enough money to bail on college after his sophomore season if he's not even all conference in our watered down conference this year, right? When you've got some All Americans returning to college and not leaving early, it's pretty premature to be talking about an early jump for a non all-conference mid major player, isn't it? Besides, I selfishly want to see him pull a Grant Gibbs and find a way to play for about 6 years for us.

                      • Who says Baker won't be all-conference? I'll be surprised if he's not, at the bare minimum, 2nd team all-MVC. I'll be mildly shocked if both he and Cle aren't 1st team.

I'm not saying he won't. I'm saying he hasn't yet -- let's wait and see if he keeps it up all year and does do that. Heck, the fact that you're saying you think he'll "at least" be 2nd team all MVC says a lot. There is no way a 2nd team all MVC player should seriously be talked about as jumping to the NBA and being a high enough first round pick to merit early entry. Especially in this year's MVC. It's just silly talk. MVC players don't jump to the NBA early -- even repeat players of the year haven't done that. We're talking about a potential 2nd teamer doing it? We've gone off the deep end.

If it wasn't obvious before, it's pretty effing obvious now where this troll comes from - EXACTLY what I said.

Why is an obvious troll continually allowed to post here, especially under the horrible guise of another Shocker fan?

Btw, sCUm troll, we noticed your absence after your SDSU flop and GW debacle and subsequent drop from the polls. Ouchies. :(
