    • The walk-on angle makes a good story, but it omits an important fact: RB came knowing he would have a scholarship after finishing his redshirt, which come to think of it is still a great story.

        He's just a humble kid. :)

Don't tell the Redbirds that, though. They dislike him for things like that.

        • Ron has had 4 games in a row with 20 or more points. Does anyone know the last Shocker player to do that?

              • I guess the next question will be, if Baker gets 20 or more Saturday against ORU, who had 5 in a row previously? It could depend on how soon we put the game out of reach, allowing the starters to rest. We get the big lead early and Baker doesn't play as much. Then again he might be scoring a bunch to get us the big lead.

                • I haven't gone through the entire thread again, but has anyone mentioned his classroom status at WSU? I don't mean the class grades. I mean credit hours. In theory he could be on schedule to graduate in the spring following his junior year. If he stays healthy and continues to play well then going pro after the 2014-2015 season seems to be much more of a realistic option. Considering that he's still relatively inexperienced there's a decent chance that he will still improve. Then I might finally buy into the lottery angle.

                    23-E-Ville
                    27-Drake
                    25-SWOMO
                    24-ISU-b

Jason Perez scored 20 or more points 7 straight games in 2001. Thanks Kennedy.

                    • A 76ers 2014 draft twitter account, which uses Chad Ford's top 100 list tweeted this today:

                      CurrentFutureSixers ‏@Sixers2014Draft
                      7. Aaron Gordon, PF, Arizona
                      12. James Young, SF, UK
                      36. Jordan Adams, SG, UCLA
                      37. Ron Baker, PG, Wit St.
                      55. LaQuinton Ross, SF, OSU
So it appears Ron has moved up to #37.

I think hes a finance major. Had him in my Entre class when I attended FT in the spring semester this year.

He does have that extra year of schooling when he redshirted so i assume hes about a year out of graduating

                        • Even when they don't spell it out, they still misspell Wichita.

                          37. Ron Baker, PG, Wit St.

                          • I'm with Sully, I want to see baker go for the Nash standard of efficiency 50/40/90 this season.

                            Aim high.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

MK on the Coach's Show said it was 14 years ago since someone had at least 5 straight game with 20 or more points.
