  • New Mexico extends their lead to 10 at the half. Doesn't look like Davidson is going to give us much help in the RPI department this year. Hopefully they can get it figured out by conference play at rack up some wins there.

      • #10 VCU loses 84-80 to decidedly meh Georgetown. Rams are going to plummet on Monday.

Missouri State taking care of Hamtpon 80-63 w/2:00+ remaining.

Loyola finally avoids choking against horrible teams and hangs on to win 73-72 against SIU-Edwardsville on a neutral court. Christ the Ramblers suck.

UNI with a big game against Maryland in the Virgin Islands at 6:00 CST. Game is on CBS Sports.

            Possible torn meniscus for Pickens.

A sprain is a tear. What the MSU coaching staff is hoping for is a low grade sprain.

Despite turning the ball over 26 times against VCU’s havoc defense, the Hoyas made the most of their opportunities when they had them as they shot 56.1% from the field (23-41) and 86.5% from the line (32-37) en route to the comeback win. They trailed 50-43 midway through the second half, but scored 41 points in the final 12:32 of the game to earn a solid early-season victory.

hat's a lot of free throws.... I'm sure that makes Havoc drive in second gear all day... the new rules are wreaking havoc on Havoc (?)

I wonder how long it took to actually play the final 12:32 ????

61 fouls called; 84 total free throws. GT hit 86% of their FTs; VCU 72 (34 of 47). VCU short a much lower percentage from the field.

Box score for the Georgetown Hoyas vs. VCU Rams NCAAM game from November 24, 2013 on ESPN. Includes all points, rebounds and steals stats.

The meniscus is a cartilaginous cap on the knee where ligaments attach. A mild ligament tear without dislocation a sprain. A torn meniscus is not a sprain.

Correct. I didn't see your post about the meniscus. It's just a pet peeve of mine when people say "It's just a sprain". Derrick Rose sprained his knee. He just happened to have a Grade 3 sprain instead of the Grade 1 that people hope for when an athlete goes down.

Edit: Just saw that Rose's most recent injury was also the meniscus. Guess I should pay more attention to the NBA if I'm going to use their injuries as an example.

                      • You have to turn on this Vermont vs. Duke game.

78-77 Catamounts at the under 4. This could be one of the worst home losses in college basketball history. Vermont is horrible.

                            • Duke gets another classic foul call in their favor to bail them out on a Vermont player that was fully on the ball.
