      • St. Francis preseason #7 in the Northeast Conference, btw. It sure makes beating Tennessee State by 14 look a lot better.

        • Syracuse ends the game on a 10-0 run to win 56-50. Brutal but predictable turnovers by St. Francis at the end does them in.

          • Syracuse wins 56-50 thanks in part to late game turnovers by St. Francis.

I am more concerned about DePaul's front court. Cleveland Melvin is putting impressive numbers. 43 points and 22 rebounds in his last two games.

                        • Reading MVCFans is a bad idea but sometimes it is hard to ignore the train wreck in front of you. In this thread http://mvcfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3383&start=12, however, it seems like a Shocker fan (or two) wishes to alienate all other Valley fans. Why?

Of course, on the next page, a Loyola fan (Rambler63) mentions some Nielsen market numbers that do not correspond with http://www.tvb.org/media/file/TVB_Ma..._2013-2014.pdf by claiming that Des Moines is #73 and Wichita is #101 while Nielsen has Wichita-Hutchinson at #67 (and Des Moines at #72). Hopefully LUC won't be the next Evansville (on the court) even thought UE will probably wipe the floor with LUC this season.
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

I was surprised to see UWM had 3,186 show up for the game. About 1,800 more than Loyola drew last night.

What is of equal or more importance than market size is the interest of the team inside of the market. Unfortunately what LUs attendance figures show us is that Chicago's interest in Loyola sports is:

                              1. Da Bears
                              2. Anyone playing the Packers
                              3. The Bulls
                              4. The Cubs
                              5. ND Football
                              6. The Blackhawks
                              7. The White Sox
                              ...
                              23. The new Hunger Games movie
                              ...
                              58. My kids 3rd grade basketball game
                              ...
                              78. Loyola Marymount
                              ...
                              89. Wow I never knew there was a Loyola University Chicago
                              ...
                              99. Loyola Chicago
                              100. Watching paint dry.

Someone needs to point out to that Loyola poster that it doesn't matter the market size if you are only able to pull 0.016% of the market to a game.

Hell, given the 0.016% I might swap 99 and 100.
