I have no clue if it's been mentioned already, but has anyone heard anything or know as to whether student tickets are sold out for tonight against WKU? Haven't gotten a chance to pick one up yet and wanted to see if I need to save the trip. Thanks in advance!

The system isn't working at it's best when those tickets are gone and there are consistently 250+ empty seats. I hope they are allowed and able to make headway on this issue soon. But, we NEED 1200 students there, first and foremost.

I don't know if WSU does that with their student tickets but it's not a bad idea. Also, it helps student organizations make money, as they have paid for those tickets ahead of time, they "sell" them back to the Athletic Department to raise money for certain student improvement projects each year.
Win-Win all around. The mountains are calling, and I must go.

Student tickets are way more in demand this year than in year's past and the top 1/4th of the student section has been empty. What I would suggest is making students picket up each game ticket individually instead of 6 tickets at once or however many it is. Some students may have picked up every game available but only know for sure they will go to (insert game here, like Tenn) game. They could allow tickets to only be picked up within 7 days of the game and since they plan on unloading all of them, don't open GA sales to the public until 2 hours before the game. Just a thought.

I actually think (and have said here before) that KU does a great job, even though they are different animals. Almost a third of the attendance are students at KU home games. I understand the desire to re-sell GA tickets, and I get that the students have already paid for the tickets with fees. I WANT students, and only students in student seating. BUT, that hasn't happened in like, forever. So until it starts happening, I'd like to see those tickets resold, even if it's at the last minute.
If all the 1200 or so tickets are picked up by students then I'd like to see some kind of cut off time invoked where if you haven't scanned your ticket say 15 minutes before game time, then that ticket can be resold to the general public. Now, I get that some people can't make it early, and we should try to accommodate those somehow, but that number would have to be small. Plus, it would encourage students to be there early (always a good thing) and getting worked up into a frenzy.
You could still use your student ticket to get in after the cutoff time, but it wouldn't be guaranteed unless you had a pass (maybe each student could get like a 3 game late waiver that allowed their ticket not to be cancelled if they asked for it in advance or something). I'm not saying it's perfect, but the goal is to get butts in seats, and we're falling a shade short in that endeavor lately.
