I don't like the athletic department mistake but I do like the ability of the current athletic administration to raise the money to fund a high level athletic department. This is pretty important and while my tickets went up significantly this year, I still think that they are a reasonable cost. I don't have the deep pockets and this is all I can do to help.
I've had tickets for a long time but people like me on fixed incomes can only give so much. I'm hoping that tickets stay reasonable for fans so that corporate ticket buying doesn't need to go even higher. This does require stellar fund raising abilities in the department and a lot of the credit needs to go to Eric Sexton.

I got my season tix. Me and the Mrs. names were spelled exactly as they read on our SS cards. They even have our Section, row and seats right. Life is good for SHOXMVC.

Maybe if there had not been a delay in getting the final schedule put together, these errors might have been caught. Nevertheless, it was rushed as we can tell by the lateness in receiving the tickets. The "Saint Lewis" error is more likely on WSU as it may have been that way when the printer received the copy. That doesn't relieve the printer from not catching it as it was inputted into the system or when someone from their end proofread the final layout. I can give a pass to the AD for their final proofread as it was all in rush mode by that time. They may have even caught it, but did not have time to reprint the booklets. It's unfortunate, but not earthshattering. Some people have a complex about not being perceived as "big time" due to any and all missteps no matter how small in real importance.

What wasn't rushed was the general layout of the ticket booklets. I thought they were first class.

Sometimes, we should more happy about where we are. The glass half full approach. That in no way means we should be complacent, just more positive. Not necessarily sunshine pumping, just not being a cranky (young) fart.

I'm not cranky. I'm just telling it like it is. Some people would prefer to turn the other way and blow the AD at every possible nanosecond, like they're infallible. Sorry, but that's not my cup of tea.

We've lost every year in St. Louis that St. Louis was spelled correctly... WE BREAK THE STREAK THIS YEAR IN SAINT LEWIS! It's an omen.

Sorry you felt the need to respond. Some might consider that a defensive reaction. I was posting in generalities as in "some people".

Few things in life are black or white, but many shades of gray. One usually needs to accept some faults, particularly ones considered small by most. We all have them. You have a few that take the opportunity to be critical on any opportunity, large or small, discounting the good and others, as you say, "blow the AD every nanosecond like they're infallible". Both views are on the extreme and probably equally misguided. By and large, most usually don't hold such black or white viewpoints of a person, but look at the complete picture. One's personal view of the truth may not necessarily be for most others, so "telling it like it is" may only represent a strong personal viewpoint not shared by most. Most others also know when someone is going to chime in on cue with their own cranky-like opinion because of their pattern of reactions.

For me, where "I draw the line" will take something a little more devastating.

Didn't the athletic department outsource the season tickets this year? I seem to recall discussion of this after last season, but could not find it. Mistakes happen, but if we paid "National Ticket" (their name is on the back of at least half of the tickets), then that really is a problem. Maybe they were the lowest bidder..

Hmmm, good point. Was ticketing turned over to the newly formed Shocker Sports Properties?

They can do it for less because their editors don't read or write English and they don't have spell check on their word processor.

Come on guys, it could be a lot worse. They could of outsourced season ticketing to Kathleen Sebelius.

still no tickets for me. I hope they didn't send them to my address in Wichita Falls.

I think they sent yours to the Church of Scientology. You can pick them up there.
