Is this a trick question? From my vantage point, there are at least two errors. I'm packing to leave for Wisconsin tomorrow, so I didn't look that hard. With that , I didn't see St Lewis until I had already stumbled across Wililam and Mary.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

"Saint Lewis" - according to wikipedia he is a lesser known Patron Saint of windshields and other auto glass products.

You're telling me mistakes on a season ticket package are acceptable and that it makes us look big time? These are the types of things that get you on Leno or Letterman, and not in a good way. It's not like they added an extra letter or omitted a letter. They completely butchered up the spelling of a large, popular American city.

          Yep. Let's defend it.

            WOW.

The hits just keep on coming.

Who the hell do they have proofreading and printing these up? Third graders from Allison Elementary? One error is embarrassing enough. Two within a couple lines of each other is inexcusable. Be proud Athletic Department.

You want to know why people are willing to defend these kind of errors? It has nothing to do with being sunshine pumpers and everything to do with being sick of the cadre of posters that are intent on belittling the AD and never giving any credit for anything that goes right and going haywire over anything that goes wrong.

The relentless Sexton bashing doesn't help bring people to your side, it just makes people more defensive and (ironically) more willing to tolerate these kinds of errors (which are embarrassing).

I wager that you would find the Sexton supports far more willing to be upset about the obvious failures of the athletic department if the Sexton opponents were more willing to acknowledge the obvious successes (and vice versa).

Can we quit this polarized argument over the current administration and just acknowledge when things have been done well and when they have not without trying to use it as a leverage point against the "other side" of the fanbase? We all want the department to succeed and denying/minimizing successes or failures just to win the argument is stupid and pointless.

Where did I mention Sexton in this thread? But now that you bring it up, it is under his watch and he oversees the whole operation, including the ticket office.

Sorry, but I'm not going to shrivel up, grit my teeth, and stay silent when something that stupid happens. Why is it MY fault?

I've admitted good things when they've happened, but good things are expected. People shouldn't be always given a pat on the back for doing their job and doing what they're PAID to do.

We have a nice, different pack of season tickets in booklet form, with Marshall on the cover, holding up the West Regional Championship Trophy. In that same proud booklet, there are two spelling errors in an area highlighting our season schedule. One of the errors is pretty reprehensible and can't be defended. Why is it so difficult to make sure St. Louis is spelled correctly on 9,000 booklets going out to WSU's most loyal fans who popped some pretty good coin for them? Are we really asking that much of our athletic department? To spell the word St. Louis correctly? Is it really not that big of a deal? Should we just pretend like we don't care or like nothing happened? It makes our operations look like a joke and since I CARE about this university, I don't want it represented like a bunch of third graders.

The only thing that would have been more embarrassing is if the errors occurred on the actual tickets. Now, that would have been awesome (but obviously not something that should have been brought up on a message board).

Welp, since Omaha and San Francisco have done it, we should feel better about it and are in good company.

I should note that all your examples are 1 letter errors. This is an entire word that was effed up. Although with the "Wililam and Mary" catch by MVJ, we have that kind of 1 letter error too.

                      High five!

That's right, @ShockerFever:, you aren't doing anything to make this worse at all.

I mean, it's not like you did something stupid like changing your profile pic to a picture of the typo because far from being embarrassed by it, you are actually reveling in the misspellings because you think it wins points for your agenda.

                        Wait, you did exactly that?

I'm pissed. I haven't received my schedule yet. How am I supposed to know when to show up at Coke Arena without mispelled schedule?

Well played, although I'm genuinely trying to figure out if the misspelling of the word "misspell" is intentional. I think intentional would be wittier, but unintentional would be funnier.
