But really why would you change he mascot to something like a gargoyle and retain the name Braves? I would think that something that depicted a proud image of a brave would be much more palatable to Native Americans than some characterization of a gargoyle. But what the hell do I know I went to North.

Gargoyles? I thought you were joking. Then saw the video.

I dont get it. Why is it offensive to name your mascot a heroic and honorable aspect of Native Americans heritage?

This logic should apply to Spartans, Trojans, Fighting Irish and others, no? Its not like their name had a derogatory undertone to begin with.

So stupid. I hope the name change coincides with a karmatic shift that sends their university into oblivion. Stand up and be proud of the Brave! Its a freaking tribute to an honorable people.

If you were a member of the ACLU then you would understand how offensive the term Brave might be. ;)

Native Americans?? It's the French who were offended this time.

The only thing more impressive than stealing gargoyles that weigh one and a half ton, would be when I read about people stealing beaches. Beaches.

How did multiple Bradley women's hoops players go missing in one church? And what were they doing in Massachusetts?
