The last couple of years I have felt that the women's uniform designs have been better than the men's.
I agree. Ironic, isn't it? The difference is the women's unis actually have a design; the men's unis have essentially had no design for as long as I can remember.
Seems the men's unis are heavily tied to a pretty bland look for some reason. I've always assumed it was aligned to a given coach's inclination, but several coaching changes have shown that not to be true. The F4 unis were still pretty toned down by most standards, but they seemed amazing to us in Shockerland just because there was at least something halfway creative done with them.
Really thought the F4 would be a breakout event with regards to the WSU brand, and at least SOMEBODY in the WSU AD brass would come up with the idea to bring at least a little flash and visual interest to the men's basketball uniform. Whatever... wrong assumption I guess.
Well, I'm going to disagree. I don't really like the women's yellow uniforms. I do like our men's F4 blacks though. I also like our new white uniforms for the men.
I'm with Shox21. I've never liked funky, stylized numerals on any uniform in any sport. For me, the simpler the better, like the unis of two my favorites, Alabama football and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Simple, classic, and "don't even bother talking to us, Nike -- this is how we dress; end of discussion."
I like the Yellow unis of the women, but agree with @WSUwatcher regarding the stylized numbers. But as long as they put an entertaining, winning product on the floor I can overlook a lot of fashion quirks.
The Ladies black unis apparently don't have the stylized numbers:

That's because you're old.
And apparently a bandwagoner.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.
