"I hope that (Bowles) will become an assistant coach with me. That looks like the way he's leaning, and we'll take care of him, academically."
If Bowles is willing to spend 4 years away from home and willing to not take a shot at a trfr that might get him a medical clearance, learning coaching for 4 years from Marshall and company looks like a pretty good option.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

how many coaches would've killed to start their coaching career at age 18 under a final 4 coach?

And you never know if it could become more than 4. There's always a grad spot available if that would be his desire.

That was a lot of good pub for the university and the program. I like the way they talked about DJ and what WSU was willing to do and HCGM assertion that he wanted him to coach and learn from him and the staff. I also liked the fact that they pointed out WSU refused to grant him a waiver to play. A high road indeed we seem to be traveling.

Great article. 3G and the university are showing a lot of class right now. I much prefer this approach than some of those other programs that seem nothing more than a launching point for players with NBA aspirations.

Marshall obviously thinks highly of his cerebral skill, which means he probably would have made a fantastic pg.

The blue blazer lunch club should be interesting with Shaka sitting at the table.

3G had said he was like a bigger FVV. So I have no doubt that he sees the game like a true PG as well. If he chooses to take on a role as an assistant while in school and learn from some of the best the game has to offer, he could possibly have a hell of a career in front of him.
