Great article. I could watch that sequence by Murry all day.

Seems like only yesterday we were all salivating over the signing of Murry and the future prospects of our team with his size and abilities.

Here's to his signing a rookie contract and making as big a splash in the NBA as he did as a Shocker!!

        :good:

Who could've predicted that Gregg Marshall's first two squads at WSU was featuring two potential NBA players?

How many UMKC players that were on those two teams that beat us are going to brag to their families someday about how they shut down NBA talent? ;)

Let's get back to Baker. I think his best chance in the NBA is if he can either play PG or be an NBA combo guard. I don't follow the NBA, so are there any combo guards in the NBA?

I expect Baker will be the primary backup at PG - at least early in the season. Baker's showing in the NCAA's has the entire national sports media wanting to watch him as a SG this year - and next year - and the next year.

Murry played PG a bit at WSU, but wasn't very effective there. Now he's being seriously evaluted by several NBA teams as a PG. Baker appears to be better at PG than Murry, and is only 1" shorter. Murry may be the better overall stats guy. Baker may be the better offensive player.

Let's see, what PG's is Baker going to see during his years at WSU? Try Hannah, Armstead, and VanVleet. Baker is a bright kid with outstanding BBIQ. Do you think he might be learning something from those guys?
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

Murry's two inches taller, I think. 6'5" and the ability to be effective at the point is huge.

And you meant Ragland, not Hannah, right? ;)

Definitely think that Baker's position in the NBA would be PG, and 6'3" is very good there. It'll be interesting to see how he does. Still three more years to go until that point, though ... I'm holding off on NBA draft predictions until after the junior season.
