Jackie Chiles knows what a lawsuit is and that's all that matters. There are plenty of ambulance chasers out there that it really doesn't matter if you know or not, somebody will take you by the hand. I don't think Teddy was smart enough to even figure out that he could game the system by enrolling at ISU, but somebody was smart enough to figure it out for him. It was all wrapped up in a bow and little that Elgin could do about it.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

    • This is not about a lawsuit. Every league has the two year rule for transfers once they've signed.

Except... Back in July, Elgin was enforcing the two year rule, today he is not. What changed? Also, these things almost always end up in litigation, why would this situation not end up in court? Lastly, as I said before, Teddy didn't flunk out at NorthCentralWesternEastIowa Prep School - South Campus, and have the brainpower to magically appear at Illinois State Teachers College without a lot of help. Help that included a strategy to get him eligible, fast. Teddy ain't that bright, all options and scenarios were considered.

He was ineligible because of a combination score of his ACT or SAT score and a combination of his grade point average on core classes. None of us know for sure what his high school grade point average and/or ACT was. Therefore, we don't know how much he needed to become eligible. I would guess that since he dropped out of Prep School, most of his deficiencies was in the area of his test score but we don't know for sure.

He was granted a partial waiver or Qualified Release Agreement by the WSU AD.
