    Well said, DJ.

Hey, knock yourself out, Dana -- and good luck with Teddy. As I've said elsewhere, if he were a pitcher, the old-time baseball scouts would say, "He has a million-dollar arm and a ten-cent head."

that kid from tennessee, bowles.. he isn't going to red-shirt, right? even with what the shockers return? the valley deserves a good solid look at him next year draining threes on their home court. that freshman.
I'd be surprised if Bowles redshirts simply because we don't have another "pure" PG on the roster. Baker and Cotton could play some there to backup FVV, but I think they'd like to groom Bowles early and hopefully he can be like FVV and start looking much more comfortable shortly into conference play if not sooner.

The only way I could see DJ sitting out this year is if Holland is more of a PG than I've imagined based off of what I read and can handle those duties at a more effective level than Bowles to start the season. I'd assume one of the two will RS. Most likely Holland as I believe he's more of a SG than a PG but capable of both. We have an abundance of SG/SF guys on the team in Early, Wiggins, Green, Baker, Wessel and Cotton. Forgive me if I've missed one.

Denzel Bowles? He followed Turgeon to A&M. He was also academically qualified. Or are you talking about the Tennessee football player? I'm sorry, it's probably something I'm missing, but I'm not tracking you.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

DJ Bowles. A PG from Tennessee that prepped in FL. Decommitted from UCF and I believe was a Top 150 recruit by some services.

Oh, that's what I was messing up. I thought he was upset about somebody named Bowles moving from Wichita State to Tennessee. I wasn't even thinking Wichita State roster. Bowles is a decommit that works in your favor!

I can't imagine any way Holland doesn't RS this season. Not only does he seem like more of a SG than a PG, but he is TINY. He needs to pack on some serious muscle over the next year. I really can't imagine him playing Marshall's style right now, regardless of how good of a shooter he is. I think he'll get more out of a year in the Shocker strength training program than anyone has in a while.

Its funny how times have changed as far as packing on muscle is perceived. Back in the day basketball players didn't want to bulk up because they were afraid it would affect their shot or slow them down. When we would play teams like Purdue it was obvious our Shocks were at a disadvantage in being able to block out and rebound. The days of the willow thin tall basketball player is long past just as the two handed ala Rick Barry free throw is past.

                  Interesting tweet from Benson: https://twitter.com/Pg_Benson/status/355276161808482307

Valley office said didn't matter if didn't qualify. School would still have to give waiver to the other school. What a mess.

OK, so WSU has to grant Illinois State a waiver, regardless of NCAA eligibility requirements. So back to the original questions:

                    1) SHOULD Marshall sign it?

                    2) WILL Marshall sign it?

                    • These kinds of things don't get signed, the reason they don't get signed is because people aren't usually dumb enough to even ask in the first place.

                      • If this is true that WSU has to approve Hawkins prior to his being eligible, I think that Marshall should take the advice of so many posters on her (during the past week regarding this matter). He should disregard what the rules say, disregard what is best for the Shockers and sign the waiver to help Hawkins and ISU. Then he'll show what a good guy he is. Maybe then, WSU and Gregg will be well liked. :)

You know what monster, you're right. All us Shocker fans that want 3G to sign the waiver are not REAL WSU fans like you. We're just a bunch lilly livered, mambie-pambie, ISUR lovin pishers, who don't really give a fat rats ass about WSU. All we really want is for 3G to disregard the rules. Disregard what is best for WSU. Do what is best for Hawkins and ISUR. That way 3G will look like a good guy and he and WSU will be well liked.

                              O.K. YOU WIN!

                              Feel better now?

I don't give a flying **** about what other people think about WSU and Gregg. In fact, I like it better with the hate. It shows where our stature is.

                                Embrace the hate.
