    Yes!
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

For those interested in a potential diecast, it appears that it is Greenlight that has the rights to Indy Car:

I know people on this forum by and large are ball sports fans, but there are WSU fans/students/alumni who also appreciate motorsports. To these people having your school's logos on a $800K race car in a nationally-televised race is pretty darn cool.

I guarantee it doesn't hurt engineering recruiting. Some engineering types aren't just glorified etch-a-sketch artists; Some are gearheads that like to spend their free time playing with various internal combustion man toys.

They should have found a way to involve the WSU Formula SAE team. It would have made for good, relevent advertising for the school of engineering.

For me what would be super cool and a better fit for WSU is if WSU sponsored a plane in the National Championship Air Races out in Reno. With NAIR and the WSU's Aerospace Engineering program in the spotlight so often, this makes more sense to me. I bet lot's of executives and vendors that do business with NAIR and the Aerospace department show up there.

But really I just want a sweet WSU logo'd P-51 Mustang model sitting on my desk!!

It's really cool, and will enhance the brand. Engineering students and candidates if no one else would be impressed. I remember as a wee lad in the mid-60s and picking up a national car magazine at the grocery store that featured an article on the art of drafting in NASCAR. Where was the wind tunnel they used for testing? That's right... WSU.. Aerospace Engineering Dept.

Have the WuShock lapping the field at 200 mph is pretty dang cool... Sooner or later, you will see something about this on SI, ESPN, or CBSsports. It's just a matter of time.

You're thinking of a Curtis P-48. Claire Chenault and the Flying Tigers.

Ah good call. But I love the P-51. Here is one with shark's teeth, so at least I can have my cake and eat it too. But it's British?

Anyway several years ago I almost went home and painted my riding law mower sky blue with sharks teeth and a couple sweet USAF insignias like these on the mowing deck:

Now I just need WSU to sponsor a P-51 at the Reno air races so I can paint that bad boy up with a Wushock on the hood too. And I might even run over a few snakes so I can have some authentic kill decals.

Not to be a fly in the ointment, but did anyone proofread that press release?

"Following a season that included the Shocker Volleyball program’s first-ever appearance in an NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen and the Women’s Basketball program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance in school history, Shocker fans will be able to take pride in seeing Wichita State’s official registered marks, including the university’s beloved Wu Shock on two separate panels of the No. 67 IndyCar."

Is there something missing there? I mean, I know that the VB Sweet 16 and NCAA berth for women's hoops are firsts and the Final Four isn't a first, but anything discussion of this past school year starts and ends with the Final Four. Maybe the Final Four is implied and if you are going to look at our website, you already know about the Final Four and being reminded about the firsts for volleyball and women's basketball are good additions, but especially if this release was supposed to go out to non-Wichita media entities, omitting mention of the Final Four seems pretty weird.
