I'm not sure if either got a big raise over the offseason, but as of last November Jimbo Fisher was making about $300k more than Muschamp as the highest paid football coach in the state. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/blogs/college-gridiron-365/os-fbc-jimbo-fisher-tops-state-coaches-in-salary-20121120,0,254870.post
I do think coaching salaries are getting a bit absurd. I love college sports, but the financials of the NCAA are getting crazy ... coaches get rich, executives get rich, ADs get rich, and the "student-athletes" are essentially forced to compete in a minor-league without any real compensation, while we pretend that a scholarship is an acceptable return for the players risking their health and occasionally lives to make everyone else around them rich. Most of these "student-athletes" could care less about a college education and are only there because it's the only option to go pro. The amount of wink-wink-nudge-nudge that has to go on to accept the current status quo as being fair is getting a bit tough to swallow.Last edited by Rlh04d; May 13, 2013, 01:39 AM.Originally posted by BleacherReportFred VanVleet on Shockers' 3-Pt Shooting Confidence -- ' Honestly, I just tell these guys to let their nuts hang.'

A number of AD's make over a million. I guess "rich" is up for debate, but I consider a salary of more than a million a year to be pretty well past that point. I'm not going to go through the actual numbers, but after a quick skim I'd guess the average AD salary in the SEC is around $800k, and the average of BCS programs is between $300-500k.
Vanderbilt's AD made over $3.2 million last year, although he has a handful of job titles.Originally posted by BleacherReportFred VanVleet on Shockers' 3-Pt Shooting Confidence -- ' Honestly, I just tell these guys to let their nuts hang.'
