Finally got an update on the shipping on my order of the book. Looks like the shipment has been accepted in Plover, WI so hopefully I should have it in a few days.

Probably because Dillons has a full page "Congratulations Shockers" on the back page and a logo on the back cover. Not defending KCI Sports Publishing, but money talks and BS walks.

Nothing I don't already know. Just don't go pretending that we'll get our book in 2-9 days or say that it's been shipped, only to find out it's getting shipped after one should have received it and, if on time, will finally get it 14-15 days out. These books are nothing new for them. I'm sure they just put out the same BS time and time again.

Hahaha, I might have barfed once or thrice during my college days, but I would NEVER soil a perfectly good Shocker uni.

What a shot of needed energy in our Shocker arm Mr. Baker came in to give us. I bet when his cast first came off, not so long before the Dance, if he stepped on a dime without looking, he could tell you whether it was heads or tails. Next thing we know, he was raining down 3's at opportune times that was like a silver lining to our success. He went from a walk-on, to a starter, to an injured player for 21 games cheering us on, to a huge contributor when the going got real tough, and on to the Final 4. Then fans everywhere were awaiting him to speak on how he made these huge shots along the way and instead we learned that his hometown of Scott City where Coach Jan's recruited him, had 2 stoplights. This was a moment I will treasure in my mind forever.

Not to mention all of the Flagrant 1's he was the recipient of...ones that were called and ones that should have been but weren't. What a tough--and talented--kid.

If you go back to one of the earliest threads about Baker you will see that I was well aware that Baker was going to be big time. So yes I AM envious of that sweet jersey. I was just giving you crap because the profile picture of it looks like a stain more than an autograph. :)

Last year I was playing ping-pong in the dorms with my room-mate. He walks in alone. I could tell he was a basketball player so we started talking. What started out as a pingpong game now is a great friendship Amazing guy. Hell of a golfer as well.

That's funny that you say that. My brother said he played against Ron in a golf tournament back in high school (Western KS kids) and beat him. My brother has been milking that small victory as his "I knew him when" moment.

When Baker first arrived here that first summer, I too was very impressed and reported so on here. However, even before that, folk were telling me that seen him play for Scott City that he was solid and would be a special find for us.

I really think we will have an improved overall Offense this coming Season. My heedfulness is predicated on a couple of things. First of all, look for Cotton, Wiggy, Baker, Wessel, Cle, and FVV to work on improving their shooting, just as they did last Summer. Next, Mr. Green is a 'lights out shooter' as is Holland. Carter, Shaq, and DJ can and will score for us and I hope to learn more about them this Summer.

When they have the early pregame scrimmage next Season, along with the dunk contest(who will win?), I also really hope they insert back the 3 point contest. Who would win that? Oodles of competition for both events could be called upon.
