The Missouri Valley Conference and Loyola University Chicago will conduct a press conference on Friday, April 19, at Gentile Arena on the Loyola campus at 11 a.m. CT to discuss the future of the MVC and Rambler athletics.

Welcome to the league. Look forward to you learning how to flop with the best of them. If we can get rid of WSU and MSU we can get this to a three state league. I know the rest of the leagues are expanding their footprint and bringing in solid basketball programs, however I don't think that is the right formula for the MVC. The way for the MVC to prosper is to get rid of the most successful programs and consolidate the league. The closer the schools are together the better. Thanks.

A Summary:
Elgin -- Start with a lame film of Men's basketball highlights over the years. Narrated by Barry Hinson (the Herb Brooks speech before game vs Russia). Next Death by powerpoint on league history (9 teams made sweet sixteen, CU never).
Father whoever, President of Loyola - We spent $300 million on campus improvements. Glad we are in a conference with schools close to us.

I can make jokes about Loyola joining the conference, but at this point I choose to welcome them. I know many here aren’t pleased with the selection or the direction of the conference. Until I hear we’re leaving the conference, I will continue to be an advocate and supporter of the Missouri Valley Conference.

Loyola? Did they have to replace Creighton with a Catholic school. If somehow Loyola can tap into the Chicago market, could be big time, but they haven't been able to do that in the past. I assume they are a bottom 5 team in the conference at this point and time?Comment
