  • Warren Jabali Retire #52 Petition

I am putting together a petition to get #52 retired, however i am having a hard time finding:

    1. Statistic break down over his three years

    2. Records he set and when they were broken

    3. Anything he did while representing WSU as a student athlete

    4. Anything he did to help WSU as an alumni

    5. Any team awards he earned

Additionally, if any of you have any words to say, PM me and I will include them in the petition.

Link to petition will come later.

Don't know Andre, but my contact knows a lot of something about almost every significant Shocker player going back to dirt.

He needs to be there and everybody and from what I hear from Kennedy and others seem to be agree. Maybe we can get a write-in vote.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Most of the stats on Warren and former players will be towards the end of this publication.

Has anyone ever said that being an All-American is the major determinant for this?

Seems dumb. Cliff Levingston was named a 3rd Team All American by Basketball Times, an obscure p.o.s. rag that was never and will never be relevant in terms of postseason awards (the AP list is the one you see listed as "official" for most All-American list references). He never made the 1st, 2nd or 3rd team for the AP list. AC, X and Dave all made some version of an AP team at some point. I don't believe Cleo ever did.

You can view the year-by-year 1st, 2nd and 3rd AP All American selections here: http://www.basketball-reference.com/...l_america.html

I read he was 3 time MVC player of the year. A pretty amazing accomplishment.

The media guide (2008-2009) indicates Cliff was 1982 1st team Sporting News and 3rd team AP and Antoine had the same identical honors in 1983. Your link shows AC, but not Cliff.

All were listed as All Americans, one way or another.
