Small article that may not speak for the KSU masses, but here's his slant. We talk about KU not playing WSU, we forget about the other guy up north in the discussion. The comments at the end of the article by a couple of guys make me laugh. A couple of these guys think they are KU(b).

You would have to go some to beat the KU fans and their elitist attitude, but the KSU faithful is gaining ground. The author of that piece and his statement (and I added the emphasis) that "Honestly, after this season, Gregg Marshall might not be afraid to go head-to-head with Bruce Weber for recruits if the opportunity arises" is only too, too funny. When has Marshall EVER been afraid of anything like that?

The comments were hilarious. This was KSU's home schedule from last year: North Dakota, Lamar, Alabama Huntsvlle, North Florida, USC Upstate, Texas Southern, UMKC, South Dakota. You'd think they would kill for an out of conference home game against a team expected to be in the top 50 RPI.
Either way, I really don't care. I expect our run will help us get a better schedule. We will likely be preseason top 25 next year, and no one in the country right now thinks KSU has a better program then WSU outside of Manhattan.

This year's team has proven we don't need to play KU or KSU. We can get to where we want to go very well without them. Now I would like to play them and I think playing them would be good for basketball and basketball fans in the State of Kansas. But if they don't want to play us they don't want to play us and I see no reason to force them to play via legislation. In fact, I find that distasteful.
KU will no doubt continue to be very good program. KSU not sure about with Weber at the helm. He isn't exactly Mr. Charisma.
They know how to get ahold of us if they want to upgrade their schedules. I'm not holding my breath though.
