I remember asking Medcalf before the season started if there was any way Wichita State could reload for this season. In particular, I compared us to Kentucky, and asked whether we could reload as well as they had (ranked #3 preseason remember).

His response? "No chance."

Everyone makes mistakes - but these guys do this for a living. I think Medcalf and others need to be reminded of this via email or during his chats. I think he really wants the chance to eat some crow.

All of the factual mistakes do amaze me. Can a research staff not simply put together a fact sheet? Didn't Nantz say Baker was injured last year, for example?

King is the better of the ESPN.com guys. Since he is somewhat local out of OP. He also comes to a few regular seasons games over the last few years... Medcalf is always messing up.

You guys have trajectory!

It is often hard to realize one's trajectory in the middle of a series of events, but you guys are onward and upward.

Two years ago we had the most amazing season, with a group of incredible guys. We weren't top five, but we had knocked some top five teams on their ass throughout that season and were heading into the tournament strong. We ran into Kenneth Farried at Morehead State on the same night that the heart of our team suffered a foot injury. We lost that game and those timid souls who are only with you when you are winning, turned their backs and made stupid statements along the lines that Louisville is no longer significant and Pitino can no longer coach.

The next year, the trajectory was more apparent when we made it to the Final Four and we gave a great Kentucky team all they could handle, before that game slipped away from us.

Today, as I marvel at the voyage over these last three years and revel in our NC win last night, I'm thinking of you guys. You are on that trajectory. It is a struggle. It took us 27 years to get back to the top. But. success is not measured in winning a NC. It is measured in being competitive. You guys are already there! Keep moving onward and upward!

Olynyck, most likely, will be declaring for the NBA draft ... if all experts are correct. But as of now, he has not declared ..

The CBS one (where we are #25) said Harris and Hart are gone, Olynyk likely gone.

Louisville fans have been great from what I've seen. Very classy in victory, with only one possible exception.
