A good read. I bet the MVC coaches are already trying to figure out how they are gonna slow down WSU next year. It sounds as if they are studying the NCAA games very closely.

"The biggest thing to us has always been the ability to score in transition, before they set their defense," Jacobson said. "Once they set their defense they're a very hard team to play against."

Funny that the coach that slows down the game the most says this.

Knowing what to do and being able to do it are sometimes very different things . . .

The coach that slows down the game? or the coach who has slow players?

              From ESPN.
              Fever will like. I like.

"Get to the line. If there is a weakness to the Shockers' defense, it's the propensity for fouls; their foul-shot-to-field-goal-attempt ratio is 37.8 percent, No. 278 in the country. "Get to the free throw line" is not a particularly sophisticated piece of advice, but it is without question the path of least resistance against the Shockers' D."
"Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."

As I stated in the general Louisville discussion thread, the style of officiating and which team can draw more fouls will be big in this game. As much as Louisville's pressure benefits from a loosely called game, they also get a lot of their offense by getting to the line. Based on how much they get to the line and our propensity to foul, I would say that the refs letting some contact go works in our favor, especially since our guards (particularly Mal) should be strong enough to absorb some contact when pressured.
