What entity owns the golf course? State of KS, WSU, business, individual?

Membership in a new conference such as the Catholics would go a long way in addressing some of the financial challenges that Kai's proposal brings.
From my very limited understanding, I think the university owns the course.

The WSU Endowment Association owns Breaburn.

There is a recent campus master plan that includes tearing down the east stands of Cessna for a parking garage, then updating the west stands and keeping the stadium for track and field events. The long term plan includes room to put a football stadium at the corner of 21st and Oliver.
Dr. Bardo's study says that re-habbing Cessna for D-1 football is too expensive vs. building an new stadium.
Most of the 30 year plans have new buildings on the east end of campus, reducing the golf course to 9 holes.
The Coleman tennis center would move south of Eck.
I thought they'd released the plans to the public but I could not find them in a short search.
I had season FOOTBALL tix... did you?

Were there any target dates associated with the improvements?

The notion that WSU will build a new D-1 football stadium at any time in the future strains credibility.

What's the purpose of a 9-hole golf course? That seems like a waste to me. Either commit to having a nice golf course, or go without. But half a golf course seems like a waste. Just buy MacDonald's and get it over with. Then build the medical school at 17th and Oliver, right next to the law school and Kansas Basketball Hall of Fame building.

Your shuttle would be the kind that was elevated kind of like a mono rail right?

Exactly. Or we could have the ME + EE + IE departments jointly whip together a bullet train. For research purposes of course.

One of WSU's old Engineering professors's big emeritus project was working on a suspended monorail with wings, it basically flew through the air. Let's get on that.

To play 9 holes of golf. :highly_amused:

I'd like to see some sketches of that project.
