Plan on walking a little farther to get to Koch this season (hope we have another mild winter). Bardo would like to build a parking garage where the
west stands of Cessna stadium not rest. Not sure where the money will come from. The dorm was easy since WSU will not own it but lease it.
I really miss Don and Shirley.
Tear down the west stands in Cessna Stadium?

    Whoa!

Would that be the death knell for football revival?

Why not look at building a two-level garage, one at ground level and one below that (basement) with the dorm occupying floors 2-whatever. The dorm residents would use the basement level while the ground level would be available to current users.

They are building a parking garage. The only concern is parking next season

If football would ever be revived it will be where the golf course is located. Pres. Bardo is not a fan of the golf course.

Have you seen the poor shape it is in? It's pretty embarrassing.

              Football isn't even a pipe-dream now, so it's really a non-issue.

A new stadium? Surely you jest.

It's time to address Cessna Stadium. It's mostly non functional. We should build offices and facilities for the coaches and student athletes, and make the track facility top notch, to match the program. Embrace what we are, until and unless a certain high profile member of the community can be coaxed to make football happen. Otherwise, play to our strengths.

You sound like Jim Schaus and Don Beggs. And that is meant as a compliment in case it's not obvious.

Tear down Cessna, provide more parking, preferrably a garage or two to be used by the new dorm and Koch Arena for basketball/volleyball and continued use for other events held at Koch. Extend Koch outwards from the east side (champions club, admin offices) to build more training/rehab/strength facilities for all athletes and expand the offices there. Get rid of the golf course, and build more buildings or dorms with shopping and food options, with a state of the art non-baseball olympic sport complex. Track & Tennis facilities, possibly a bowling facility if it was ever an option to go NCAA in bowling (if not, no big deal) and also an indoor golf training facility.

I dunno. Thinking that's where the new Law Library and Law School needs to be built.

Lawyers are richer alumni than dentists ...

A silver stake in and through the heart of football.

What entity owns the golf course? State of KS, WSU, business, individual?

Membership in a new conference such as the Catholics would go a long way in addressing some of the financial challenges that Kai's proposal brings.
