I hope Wichita fans continue to show Coach Marshall how much we love and appreciate him. Good years and bad. He can win, he can be one of the better paid coaches in the country (I think he'll move into the top 20 when his contract is inevitably renegotiated in the offseason), he can be loved forever.
FSU was nothing before Coach Bowden came to town. We got lucky to have one of the greatest coaches in football history show up, and the love he was always shown at Florida State, and the programs' dedication to him, kept him from jumping to jobs that would have been considered better at the time, and eventually our program became big enough to truly deserve him. Coach Marshall can absolutely do the same here. You might make more money by taking the job that looks better at the time ... but you get the statue of you built in front of the arena by making the job you're at better than that job.
