I'm skeptical that this is going to be a good viewing experience for about 60,000 of those seats. And very concerned I am going to be one of those 60,000.

IIRC I had binoculars with me for our game in the Superbowl.

            Here's a link to the Georgia Dome : http://www.gadome.com/events_ticketi...l/1304077.aspx

All kinds of interesting links/facts, scrolling down the page there is a seating chart, capacity of the GD is north of 70k. I was wondering if they were going to fill it to capacity or close off some of the upper areas. It looks like the NCAA has chosen the maximum cash grab theory however. On the brighter side I see there is a Taco Mac above Section 209, whatever that is. What the heck, it's a bucket list thing.

            EDIT:
Here is a quote from an article about last years regional (2012) and the seating capacity, "For Friday's and Sunday's games, the court has been installed on one end of the Georgia Dome, and about half of the 72,000-seat stadium will be curtained off from view, virtually the same setup as for the SEC basketball tournament here last year(2011). But for next season's Final Four -- the dates are April 6 and 8, 2013 -- the court will be installed in the center of the stadium, and all seats will be used". They rent binoculars at the Dome for your viewing pleasure.

Here is a link to prepaid parking in the vicinity of the GD for those who are driving in : https://www.parkwhiz.com/georgia-dome-parking/

I would probably fire the marketing company who came up with the name though, just add the letter "n" to the middle.

Think about this for just a sec. We are going to watch our Shockers play in the Final Four in front of 70,000+ rabid fans.

                  This is just...awesome.

I just bought parking passes through that site. 1/4 mile away. $10 Saturday. $10 Monday. Valid from 3 hours prior to the event until 2 hours after the event. I can't imagine there is a cheaper route to go, and it's nice to know it is taken care of.
