  • Coach Marshall is raking it in! $1,962,000.00

Gregg Marshall will make roughly $1,582,000.00 in 2013. With his current NCAA bonuses of $380,000.00, his total earnings for 2013 as they stand right now will be roughly $1,962,000.00. That's a pretty good year for the Shocker coach and it ain't over yet!!

And, let's not forget that $1.9M in wichita is the equivalent of about, oh - $12M in California -
someone asked what it would cost to buy his wichita home in LA - I would say it would be a $1M home on an $8M lot = $9M.
If you take the high road, you won't find much traffic there . . .

Marshall is getting more in bonuses and incentives than some Valley coaches are paid.

He's getting a pay raise after this year, without a doubt. And a well deserved one.

              Base pay over $2million?

Well he's at almost 1.6M now and he gets a retention bonus of 100k each year. Next year he should be at nearly 1.7M. I would say extend HCGM's contract after this season to 2023 and increase his pay to 2M but drop the retention bonus in favor of larger performance bonuses for winning the conference, NCAA games, etc. With that kind of paycheck, he should also expect a modest buyout in the neighborhood of 3-5M. If that top 5 job ever comes calling, they won't have a problem covering a typical BCS buyout fee.

His pay structure is so confusing. I have heard everything from $1.2M to $1.6M this year. If he is making closer to $1.6M, I wish the media would get it right. I don't like it when they underpay him in the media... :good:

p.s. - he is worth every freaking penny...

He's willing to let them have a look at his checking account if they wish. :)

I agree! A couple of nights ago KAKE News showed him at a fraction over $1M; that was including 2013 NCAA bonuses. Someone please show me the $1.6M figure. I feel like a complete doofus when I tell people he makes $1.6 and they tell me I'm completely full of BS. Show me the $$$$!
