And that's probably where they're going in the future. First, they need to be ask and it has been suggested that the new BE would not expand to more than 10 teams the first year.

The sky may not be falling, but if the MVC stands pat or takes in lessor schools like ORU, the conference and eventually us with it will have seen its best days.

I can't believe any Shocker fan can be even mildly satisfied with this scenario or the possible fact that the present money received from TV will also take a hit as well.

Is there any info, whatsoever, as to any course of action that the front office is pursuing?

The MVC saw it's best days decades ago.

Maybe we could just have an "after game party" on ADES' front lawn until we are told that he will do everything in his power to get us into a better conference?

Maybe. But I think we need to strike while the iron is hot, and it hasn't been hotter than this in a LONG time.

I hope someone in the AD office is on the phone with both the MWC and the A-10 working ideas. The only thing I'm confident about the Valley is that this conference is very happy with being an okay midwest conference, and has no intention of being anything else.

We're only going to get so many opportunities to overcome our geographic disadvantage in conference realignment. And if any move doesn't work out, we'll always be welcome back in the Valley ... because the Valley will never die. It'll just get smaller.

There is a lot of talk on the old big east board of us and VCU joining that conference. In addition to getting back in the same conference with Tulsa, they have UConn, Cincinnati, Temple, Memphis, and possibly VCU. I could go for this.

                  Very scintillating:

I guess we can let the old big east and the mountain west have a bidding war over us. I actually like both. Not sure which I would prefer.

I like this proposed seven teams in the old east along with us some historic teams and new foes. don't like the travel but 3 more teams and you have a nice hoops group.

While it is appealing to have San Diego, Las Vegas, and Albuquerque road trips, it would be much easier on the team and the university to go east. Not to mention the time slots of games and national media coverage would be more favorable. Either way a good move. Multiple bid leagues guaranteed-4 or 5 minimum.

I think adding VCU, us plus having Temple and Memphis makes it more viable that they stay and that is the whole point of the discussion. I think Tulsa will be back in the Top 50 in RPI within the next three years.

But to answer your question, if a better option comes along for them, probably not.

All we gotta do is win two more games and they will be beating down our doors to join.
