Really? Atl-10 losing Temple, Butler, Xavier, Charlotte and probably St. Louis, Dayton, and UMass in the future and your concerned about the Valley losing 1 team that doesn't have the history or importance of Temple, Butler, or Xavier.

Where is it reported that St. Louis and Dayton are going anywhere? I saw that they would go to the NBE next year but if they are going, why not this year (with Xavier and Butler)?

And that's probably where they're going in the future. First, they need to be ask and it has been suggested that the new BE would not expand to more than 10 teams the first year.

I know the sky isn't falling. But many on here act like it is. I find it kind of amusing, but at the same time kind of annoying.

Maybe. But I think we need to strike while the iron is hot, and it hasn't been hotter than this in a LONG time.

I hope someone in the AD office is on the phone with both the MWC and the A-10 working ideas. The only thing I'm confident about the Valley is that this conference is very happy with being an okay midwest conference, and has no intention of being anything else.

We're only going to get so many opportunities to overcome our geographic disadvantage in conference realignment. And if any move doesn't work out, we'll always be welcome back in the Valley ... because the Valley will never die. It'll just get smaller.

I like this proposed seven teams in the old east along with us some historic teams and new foes. don't like the travel but 3 more teams and you have a nice hoops group.

While it is appealing to have San Diego, Las Vegas, and Albuquerque road trips, it would be much easier on the team and the university to go east. Not to mention the time slots of games and national media coverage would be more favorable. Either way a good move. Multiple bid leagues guaranteed-4 or 5 minimum.

I think adding VCU, us plus having Temple and Memphis makes it more viable that they stay and that is the whole point of the discussion. I think Tulsa will be back in the Top 50 in RPI within the next three years.

But to answer your question, if a better option comes along for them, probably not.
