Our ENTIRE team is the MVC all defensive team.

We don't need their awards. We know what real defense is. And we have a Final Four to prove it.

My favorite Shocker player all year has been Tekele Cotton! I mean, Malcolm Armstead! No Carl Hall! No, Cleanthony Early! Ron Baker! Fred VanVleet! Demetric Williams! EO! Evan Wessel! Nick Wiggins! Jake White! C Lufile!

In this magical season it is truly hard to pick a favorite but Tekele has been fantastic!

Wiggins and Lufile haven't had much playing time in the tournament, but damn if they aren't both MVPs of the Shocker Post-Game Celebration Dance Squad!

Really hope Nick gets the defensive improvement to be as big as I think he can be next year. When was the last time we had a team so deep that someone as talented as him would be the #9 player ... #10 if Wessel is healthy? God next year is looking SO good.

I fully admitted dogging TC's 3 point stats during the course of the year. I was totally wrong and out of line. TC has made me out to be a fool and I LOVE it.

When that shot went in, I knew it was over. What a clutch ass shot and subsequent rebound.

Cotton is shooting over 50% from 3 since he had time to shoot the rust off his early season wrist injury. The effect of that injury was overlooked by many.

He also had a heel injury that would have made most players sit out. I believe that this was about the same time that CH, Baker and Wessel went down to injuries.

TC has been the most consistant player on D. MVP in my book, really the team is.

Thank you, Tekele, for putting in all those extra hours in the gym to work on your stroke in the middle of your slump.

I wouldn't say TOTALLY wrong. Let's admit it, he was really struggling from the outside the first half of the season.

However, it just shows the pride and hard work TC is willing to put in, to turn around his game. Many times HCGM mentioned about the time TC put into the gym to turn his shot around. I have mad respect for someone who doesn't just "settle".

I also read in an article that Wiggins was working w/ TC to help his shot, too. So, even though he isn't getting the minutes, Wiggins is still showing what kind of teammate he is and ultimately contributing to the success this year.

Folks often forget or are unaware of his early season wrist injury. He is a stud and what is perhaps most thrilling, has shown consistent improvement.

What an utter joke the All-MVC defensive team voting was.

Cotton could be the best defender in the entire tournament.

I believe he also had some back issues early on. There's no doubt his shot was off due to the little injuries that he was battling through.

Yes Cotton had a back injury from weight lifting followed by the wrist and heel injury. Dude is the strong quiet type. You can't tell the score of the game from his face. Love me some Tekele!

Also, two years ago, all the rave was about Hall (rightfully so), White (nothing wrong with Jake), Ede (still can't spell his last name), and to a lesser degree, Wessel. Baker was an after thought and many thought Tekele wouldn't last heading into his freshman campaign. Lest we forget, MANY were upset that we nabbed Armstead as a transfer when what we needed was a forward. It was some time later we learned that Mal was paying his own way as a transfer.

What a recruiting coup HCGM and staff stole from the nation in 2011!!!
