    Bump for a sweet vid.

Wonder if WSU is making one of these again for last weekend's games/highlights?

This video is great, and it is a shining example of how well of a job the marketing and media relations staffs for the athletic department have done this year.

There are so many examples of their great work this year, that I'm sure to miss some, but to name a few:
      1. #watchus
      2. Facebook
      3. Instagram
      4. #playangry
      5. players and coaches on twitter

As for the live look-ins of the locker room before the game, at halftime, and after the game during the tournament, I don't know who was responsible for this idea, but I think it was brilliant. I don't recall any other team that the Shockers played against allowing the same to happen for them, and this little token gave the university and the basketball program immeasurable exposure. For the recruits out there who haven't made a decision and saw that coverage, how does it affect them? For boosters like you and me, how much pride did it give us? This was a bold move because with extra exposure can come distractions, but this team was focused and handled it superbly.

The marketing and media relations staff has done an incredible job in representing Wichita State University and for putting the name out there in front of everyone. They deserve much credit.

Absolutely agree with you. The athletic department has done a wonderful job on the marketing front this season, not just in quality, but in appearing to be ahead of the national curve in really understanding how to leverage social media.

On the live look-in question, I'm pretty sure I heard that all the coaches were asked by CBS whether they would allow cameras in their locker room and that Marshall was far more willing to allow it than other coaches, which means more face time for WSU and Marshall that other programs passed on.

Marshall's face time in the locker room was outstanding. Utter confidence in his team - "you don't have to be perfect to win".

Marshall did a lot of things with that time that focused the team on what was needed, and did it in a very positive manner by simply pointing out his confidence in the players. That's going to appeal to a lot of recruits.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
