During a overnight stop in Scott City on Bike Across Kansas several years ago. I weant to the local watering hole/diner/pool hall for supper and overhead several local residents discussing that day's loss by WSU to Cal-Irvine in the Super Regional. They knew the players names and were pissed about the loss. I chatted them up and they genuinely like WSU b/c they were first and foremost Kansans.
