When it's a beat down like this, I'm always a fan of "curb stomped." I do know that isn't really what we're going for with the whole "boatraced" but I feel it's appropriate when you're losing by 28 and you're 1 seed difference than your opponent.

I also like curb stomped. It implies a certain, "removal from the establishment as well as a nice square kick to the grapes while laying in the gutter", quality to it.

Seriously? This is completely a "match-up issue". VCU beats many teams who don't handle the ball like Michigan with Burke. KU would have had a problem with the pressure because E. Johnson doesn't handle the ball that well. VCU was still really good, just not against that team.

I think inconsistency is perhaps a pretty common theme throughout college basketball this year. Anything can happen from game-to-game.
