Greg Lansing's predecessor at ISU came directly from Creighton. Kevin Something-Or-Other.

McKenna. Now an assistant for his former boss at Creighton... making him his current boss at Oregon.

I think it depends on the relationship. HC3GM and Jans seem exceedingly tight so I would expect Jans to ask HC3GM for his blessing to make that type of move (and expect HC3GM to congratulate him and let it go down on excellent terms). In this case it would not be a "defection". That's the "right" way to do it in my mind. Given that McKenna is now working for his former boss again, I imagine that's the way it was between those too.

Ford is an example of the wrong way to go to another school intra-conference. And I would consider his move a "defection".

I dunno, seems like Jans going to DU would be sort of like getting your honey and your money in the same place......just sayin'.

IMO, it would be tough for an assistant to take a HC job with another team in the same league.

Lansing did it from Creighton to Indiana State, correct?

That was Kevin McKenna. Lansing was an assistant at ISU under McKenna and Waltman, I believe.

                  Correct.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Jans would be better off going to Eastern South Metropolis State College of Cosmetology Technical Institute than going to Drake.

Yeah, ESMSCCTI is not to bwe scoffed at, even though ESM is not a state.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Two names I am hearing at Drake are Creighton assistant Darian DeVries and Gonzaga asst. and ex-Utah coach Ray Giacoletti.

                          SubGod22,

You are correct Missouri State has one of the lowest salaries (if not the) in the MVC. Lusk is a good coach, just cant do much with a bare cupboard. This is what the problem at MSU is, we have a great overpriced areana that we cant fill and the lowest salary in the leaque, like people say "You get what you pay for".....Congrats on the great season you are having, best of luck from Springfield
