Bags packed and leaving the Outer Banks shortly to make the 14 hour drive. Lots of coffee, red bull and Louis C.K. standup in my immediate future.

GoShockers89, I am impressed by the effort.

I leave tomorrow morning with 7 other fellas. This will be my 11th year in a row. The first year I went in 2003, there weren't too many Shocker fans but it was still very cool seeing so much yellow and black hundreds of miles from home. Clearly the Shocker crowd has has grown steadily each year.

I've been with family and with buddies and all of the trips have been fun and worthwhile, but disappointing. But not so that is hasn't kept me from coming back.

I look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow!

As for food, I haven't done much than the usual except Pappy's and the Hill. Pappy's is good, but is not worth the wait. There is just as good of BBQ in KC and Wichita. I do not remember the name of the place on the Hill last year but it was awesome and worht the 1 hour wait. We ran into Coach Marshall (hours after the IllSU loss and it was great to see what wondeful spirits he and his wife were in and they thanked us all for making the trek.
