  • Malcolm ArmSTUD

An ESPN announcer just inadvertently renamed MA. It was spoken, and now it is written, he will forever be known as Armstud.

Marcus Armstrong started, but was quickly benched for Malcolm Armstead.

      ARMSTUD!!!!

You gotta love the announcer saying the beast is player of the game when cle and beast had pretty much identical stat lines...18pts,7bounds,2blocks,2assists.

And then you look up and see ARMSTUD with 20pts,6assists,2to, and 2 steals. Perfect from the line...

Malcolm has thrived in his new-ish role at the semi-2 guard since the emergence of Fred and sharing the point with Demetric. His dribble drives and left-handed scoops from both sides of the basket are hard for defenders to instinctively adjust to, plus he is more selective and more accurate from 3.

His senior leadership has finally helped pull this team to another level.

Ditto... Whether by accident or design, Malcolm spending time at the 2 has put this team back on track. His shooting success has become contagious and it has rejuvenated his play and the play of the team overall. Big props to Malcolm...

Malcolm Armstud is the same today, as he was yesterday, as he was at the start of the season. Without him getting the majority of the minutes all year long we would have never broken Shocker win streaks that have held sine the 1950's. He is a starter. He is a finisher. He is a winner. He is a stud.

Thank you Malcolm Armstud for your contributions. The Shocker Nation is indebted to you.

The man can dribble into a double or triple team and go behind his back, between his legs, crossover and come out with the ball and usually a layup or an assist. He has ball handling skills that bring me to my feet in games like no one in recent memory. Ill be thinking 'here comes a steal or TO' and somehow he still has the ball. He is to ball handling what Cle is to scoring highlights or Hall is to rebounds. For a point guard, that is money. I haven't even started talking about defense, clutch shooting and being a flat out winner.

He was the man yesterday. Wish he could have found the bottom of the net one more time, but it was a tough shot.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

His play has made him a leader of the team. I had my doubts at first, but he quickly dispelled them with his stellar play. Takes care of the ball great, being left handed made some of his dribble drives hard to guard, shoots great, and really contributed to the team.
Here's hoping he leads us into a Sweet Sixteen and beyond, along with Demetric and Fred.

Malcolm has done a tremendous job for us during his one year as an active player.

Our last three transfer PG's have all produced to their utmost and way beyond.

My hat is off to Malcolm for all his hard play, for his leadership, for the games he has won for us, and for those that he kept us knocking on the door.
