  • Carl "The Beast" Hall to the NFL?!? Look out!

Carl Hall told channel 12 he wants to go the NFL after this. I pity the linebacker in his way!

I've often thought he could be a guy that could make that transition. Best of luck to him

I bet Kerry Rosenboom would love to take on that challenge. Carl, just make sure, the Docs are ok with you bulking up.

The switch from basketball to football worked out well for former Shocker Bob Long, altouhg Bob did play 1 years of football at Wichita State.

Who was the former Bradley player that ended up playing tight end in the NFL?

Don't remember that. Antonio Gates and Tony Gonzalez both made it work pretty well.

Hall said he wanted to get up to 260 or 270 and play tight end. Yikes! That would be one huge tight end.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

It was Marcus Pollard. I don't really remember him at Bradley. But he played the #4 spot at 6'3". He had a long, productive NFL career.

And I really think Carl could be effective by just getting in the 250-260 range.

When you enter the confines of 21st and Hillside, BE AWARE OF THE BEAST. His name is Carl "the Beast" whether you are playing foosball, hoops, an alley fight or stinkin tideleewinks. You want Carl Hall on yourn side. You shant prevail versus Carl Hall.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

fwiw, in Cancun, Carl told me and three others that he is was not interested in "going pro" (which I assumed meant basketball, but wanted to begin coaching, hopefully under Marshall.
