  • Coach Marshall Radio Show 02/18/13

Thought that there may not be a radio show tonight since the team did not return to Wichita after the ILS game.

However, in checking the KNSS 1330 schedule it does look like they are planning a show for 6:00 pm tonight.

Has anyone heard to the contrary?

This could be an interesting one. I would like to here Coach's take on what transpired at the end of the ILS game. I don't expect him to comment on anything related to the post-game activities. But we will see.

After the game last night, Mike Kennedy said that there would be a coach's show tonight from Indiana at the normal time. I plan on listening too!!!!

I went to http://www.shockerradio.com/archive/ and clicked on the 2012-2013 Season under Men's Basketball and it only gives the archives for the basketball games (although the title is wrong). There used to be one on the right side for the Coach's Show archives, but I don't see one. Could someone verify this?

Normal time being 6 CST and not 6 Terre Haute (EST) time.

So who is wushocker91 who is over on the ISUR site saying

I wanted to take a minute to say that, as a long time Wichita State fan, I do not condone the behavior of our coaching staff last night after the game. To be fair, I was not at the game, so I only saw what was broadcast on ESPNU, but based on that, I think I saw enough to know that our coaches should have walked away from any potential confrontation. Instead, they inserted themselves into a situation that ended with the need for arena security. I believe that the way that they behaved is an embarrassment to our basketball program, our fans and our University.

Unfortunately, many of the more vocal people in our fan base do not agree with me and I definitely feel as though I am in the minority with my opinion here. In the past few years, it has become clear that the goal of the Wichita State fans and, apparently the athletic department, is win at any or all costs, whether that be the financial cost of coaching staff payroll or the more damaging, long term cost to the integrity of the basketball program.

We seem to have lost our sportsmanship both at home and on the road. I have always been proud of the atmosphere in The Roundhouse, but lately it has turned ugly and mean. I’ve watched our coaches and players refuse to shake hands with opposing teams after victories and losses.

Many people are bitter about the fact that Coach Ford “left us” for another MVC school. Apparently they don’t realize that Coach Jans used to be at ISU. Or maybe its different when a coach comes to us. I’m sure that’s probably it. Personally, I wish Dana Ford all the best in his career at ISU. It was a pleasure to have him at Wichita State.

Seems to think he knows an awful lot for not being there. I'm sure most Shocker fans do NOT share his/her feelings. Coaches/players refusing to shake hands? When and where?

Lord, this must be the same guy that called in after a game and felt that Lynn Marshall caused him great personal affront and wanted her to apologize to him. This guy is an embarrassment to himself. He has to be posing as a WSU fan.

well mr or mrs 91 can blow me.

Coach Jans situation is no where CLOSE to Coach Fords situation.

Furthermore theres alot more to the whole situation than what was shown on TV. WE (the collective here on SN) know what we know due to red bird fans own admittance (throwing items onto the court)

Take it FWIW but I have NO issues with what Carl did walking off the court. He merely gave the universal "make more noise" that many players do on our own home court (opposing foes as well)

Im one of the few who will never use the term "thug" etc because quite frankly I dont think the people using it even know what the term means.

                    Definition of THUG http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/thug

: a brutal ruffian or assassin

raising your arms to say "keep booing me" is not brutal or close to "ruffian" Go **** yourself with that.

Jesus Christ Carmichael KICKED Tekele Cotton. Regardless of intent HE STILL DID IT. A foul should have been called and was. Quit trying to OUR coaches to a higher standard when you wont even hold YOUR OWN fans in the same regard!

Dana Ford walked out on his word. Once a man's word is no good, it's forever. For life. **** HIM.

If they can find the Redbird message board, they definitely have access to here.

                              that is laughable.

must be bs.. or.. actually, there are a few ku/wsu, k state/wsu fans here that fit that mould, come to think of it.

if wushocker91 posts here, maybe he'll be man enough to speak up.
