Obviously I don't have all of the facts but it sounds like Illinois State hired some real "Winners". Their coach is / was basically defending the whole turn of events in the face of video and then the ISU coaching staff acting up after the game. They must really be desparate. Unfortunately the team seems to take on the personality of the coach so I guess we can expect ISU to field players that defend mistakes and refuse to take responsibility for their actions.

I'm not going to put much stock in the comments from the Redbird fan. I'm sure it was a tense situation after the game but what else would you expect after that type of game. Security should have recognized this to begin with and been on task with escorting each team to their respective locker room.Shocker fan for life after witnessing my first game in person, the 80-74 win over the #12 Creighton Bluejays at the Kansas Coliseum.

Really? Myself and, more so, another poster on here interacted with Dana quite a bit while he was here and I didn't get that at all. Now, I will say that Dana did occasionally exercise poor judgement, and loyalty is about the most important thing in an assistant (not just here, but anywhere) and his departure did not go well but I liked him.
Whatever happened, it shouldn't come as a huge surprise. We have an excitable staff and the ISU staff is young and the exchanges (or lack thereof) with Dana in the game here certainly would lead one to believe there is still some bad blood boiling.
What irks me is the continued lack of respect our program gets. These guys have been classy throughout the last few years as we've run through the Valley on the road. If we get out of hand, I'll be the first one to call us on it. We're not allowed a little leeway after a huge comeback in a hostile environment? We seem to be expected to frown, lower our heads and shake hands in humble servitude after beating the team playing the best basketball in the conference on their home floor during their Super Bowl. Jans was fired from ISU, Ford left for ISU, their antics and beyond DIRTY play in St. Louis last year and I am still annoyed by their celebration on our court several years ago all fueled what may have happened last night.

Ill St can join the ranks of the rest of the Valley teams, for which I do not give one eff about their feelings.
If any team gets more garbage, mistreatment, ire, hatred, lack of respect and downright disdain for than WSU, please advise.
Love it. Go pound sand Valley, while we go about winning another championship."When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." Better have some sugar and water too, or else your lemonade will suck!

A little bit about the Karate Kid style kick from Yahoo Sports.
When your not practicing, someone somewhere is and when you meet him...he'll beat you.

WOW. This has taken on a life of its own. I could not care less what other fans think of WSU. Would I prefer that everyone respected each others programs and personnel? Probably. Everyone except cretin anyway. Is that going to happen? Not in my lifetime. If some other fan base hates you then its probably because we beat them on a regular basis. If they tolerate you its because they are beating us on a regular basis. It is what it is and no amount of name calling really changes anything at the end of the day. The good Doctor made an outstanding post.

Let me clarify my words about Ford. I never interacted with him in a professional environment. I am sure he presented himself well. I interracted with him on two occassions when he was out and I was significantly unimpressed. I did not like the way he represented WSU when he was out. Maybe the guy just can't handle his liquor? I don't know. The only thing I can say is that I was not a fan of him. As a coach and an individual representing WSU he should have acted with class. Instead he was probably mistaken for a drunk college kid.
