  • Wichita State vs. LSU, 1981 Elite 8

Sorry if this has been posted somewhere, but it was just uploaded the other day and I haven't seen it anywhere:

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

A video of the whole Elite 8 loss to LSU. Although it was a loss, pretty cool to watch IMO, especially for those of us who weren't around then. I e-mailed the video uploader to see if they have the game against KU, or any other WSU game for that matter. Enjoy!

Very cool. Also noticed to the right a couple of videos of the WSU-Tennessee football game in 1981. Thanks!!

Willie Gault takes the opening kickoff in the football game...

It was pretty amazing that the Shox made the elite 8 that year, without Ozell Jones and with Tony Martin running at about 25% with a bad back. Magical time for the Shox.

LSU got AC in foul trouble pretty early in the first half and again early in the second half, and we just couldn't overcome that already short handed. Eventually, it took the NCAA to stop them completely..

Durand "Skip" Macklin and DeWayne "Helecopter" Scales.........remember it well. Won my office pool by having LSU in the final four.

I remember them not being about to pronounce Levingston's name correctly. They always kept saying "Livingston".
