Koch fould Odum on missed 3-ptr with 0.01 left on clock and Odum made last 2 of 3 for one-pt win.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. An extra game of seperation plus a home loss for the Trees would have been nice.

All points in the last 4:35 for InSt were FTs. I hate the way UNI plays.

This video was tweeted by MVCFans. Check out how TOUCHY that foul call was. I don't think UNI fouled Odum at all.

typical valley refs, I still remember that bs call on the half court heave that Evansville threw up against us a few years ago.

Without looking at the box score, I bet John Higgins was there. Only half kidding...

I was listening to the K-State broadcast of the KU/KSU game the other night and the KSU broadcasters were asking for a foul at the end (who wouldn't?) and he commented that the refs had been instructed to not call a foul if the play was unaltered. I'm pretty sure he didn't use "unaltered", but it was something along those lines. Either way, our refs could probably take a page out of that book when determining which ticky-tack fouls to call (or not call).

Man, that was a brutal call. That little gray-haired SOB looks familiar. No foul - let the players make plays to win/lose, not gift calls to decide games.

I would have to see a slow motion replay to be sure, but at full speed it looked to me like he did hit Odum on the elbow and that it did meaningfully alter the shot and that the ref was in good position to see the play.

Now if he had hit him with the same force after the shot was released, then yeah, no call.

Bad on Koch for even thinking about what he did while trailing the play. That was asking for a call. Worse, the ref making the call while trailing the play much further back and at a bad angle to know whether Koch even touched Odum.

Looks like a fairly reasonable call. Tapping an elbow is pretty effective.

                          Agreed.

I don't like the refs deciding the game, either, but you also don't slap a guy's elbow while he's shooting a 3 to alter his shot. That's a foul, and was correctly called.

UNI got hosed on that call.
