Years ago before I discovered Shockernet, trying to follow the Shockers was nearly impossible. I was lucky if I found a score in the local paper. Forget a box score or any write-up. It's been SO MUCH better since I found Shockernet and it's fans. You all have been a GREAT source of information. Thank you one and all!

I agree. I never knew about it till this year and I've spent several summers just sitting around waiting for news in the eagle or from goshockers. They were always weeks or months in between and it was a killer.

Shockernet is year round and constantly entertaining. I have really enjoyed my first 6 months or so here. Thanks everyone.

Yes, I can remember posting at 1-2 a.m. many many moons ago after a Shocker game and AZ (different handle then) was right on here replying so I didn't have to talk to myself. SN is an awesome venue and our beloved Shockers make it tremendous enjoyment.

When I first joined I felt like I had been dis-serviced by not knowing about it sooner. We should go in together and create some T-Shirts or something to promote the board. If it weren't for a mention in one of Sullentrop's blogs who knows how long it would have taken for me to find SN.

I joined a few years ago and then took a hiatus from coming to the site. I wish I hadn't. This forum helps get me through boring days and I always look forward to reading posts from many of the posters on here.

I can't remember how I found it, but as soon as I did I gave the info to the SPL Index so they could list it and other Shocker fans could find it.

I actually found this site because of a KU fan. I was a Rivals member and spent time on the KU board because I wanted to talk basketball and my family loves KU, so it gave my brother and I something else to talk about. I want to say it was HawkDoc or something like that who pointed it out. He used to post here some as well. Shortly after finding this place I rarely went back to the KU board and haven't posted on there in a couple of years. I've never posted on the Phog as most KU fans I know couldn't stand that place.

I actually joined about 8 years ago under a different name (Shocker07). I was in grad school at WSU the year we went to the Sweet 16 under Turgeon and though I can't remember how I found this site, I loved it because of the amazing amount of news and information about the team. We have a tremendous amount of knowledgeable people on this board, both about the team and about basketball in general. You can't find many other boards where guys use spreadsheets to calculate Prouty Ratings, wow! I changed my name to RMS when I moved to Colorado, and for a few years just lurked while I was busy sorting out life here. But I'm glad to be active again and really enjoy hangin' around on the site with you fine people. Go Shox!
