    Jezebel's would be cool.

I can just hear Kennedy pitching that sponsor.

I heard what AJ's had to pay to hold the show, although I don't recall that figure. My wife and I were there for almost every show along with maybe 4 or 5 other regular couples. Other than that, there were a few who came occasionally.

I guess the point is, for a place to spend the money to sponsor the show, they need to have some belief that they will make some money back. The relatively small number of people who attended the shows probably did not spend enough for them to break even.

Is there a chance that maybe fans should possibly blame themselves more that the businesses?

That is a shame...especially with all the excitement out there. I wonder how much the 'sponsorship' cost...

I believe the coaching spouse vetoed at least some of those, if not all.

You make a very good point. Perhaps it is the responsibility of ShockerNetters to go out and attend these coaching shows in the future. I would be willing to make it a routine. Anybody else with me?

If we did that, then someone there could do the play-by-play of the show as it's happening.

I don't know how it was set up at AJ's but when Applebees had it you had to wear headphones to hear the questions plus you couldn't see anything due to the other diners. AJ's would be more of an open place. I know the wife and I went to AJ's last year only to be told it would not be held at its normally scheduled time. Must have missed the announcement at some point the previous week.

I went to a couple at AJ's as I live in Dallas. It was a blast got to talk to HCGM and ADES

Has Mrs. Pogo's ban on that particular research site expired? . . .

Something about a "Drive to Arrive Alive" seminar? . . .

IMHO, attendance at the coaches show is not the criteria for deciding whether to sponsor the show or not. It would take 50 or more attendees that otherwise would not have been in the establishment to even come close to breaking even. Sponsorship is advetising and many businesses sponsor WSU basketball. One of those methods is the coaches show, and its value correlates to the size and demographics of the audience listening to the show, not the in-person attendance.

Before I moved from Wichita in 2000, I would attend some coaches shows and there were very few people there. The profit on those people (most only had a drink, maybe two) wouldn't support the printing of 1,000 one-page B&W flyers. However, if a business wanted to advertise, I would think they would get more bang for their buck as being the sole sponsor or one of two or three sponsors for the coaches show asd opposed to being one of twenty sponsors for the game broadcast. And that broadcast could be wherever, any location, and permit live attendance or not.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

You're not wrong, but maybe their numbers didn't really see any kind of spike as being the sponsor as before they were? If that were the case, you can't blame them. You don't continue to spend money as a business on something that has no positive effect on your sales/profit
