I suppose it is too much to ask to have the clarity that Gen. Sherman did when Republicans were prodding him to run for President, post Civil War.

Yes, but this is a different time in which we live. We live in a time of weasle, waffle and wiggle.

Getting my daughters to commit to a specific time or event is like nailing Jello to a tree. It drives me nuts.
